You show the current time to a spectator, remove the watch, and change
the time to your "prediction". With the watch face turned away
from the spectator, you ask the spectator to name any time. After the
spectator names his or her time, the Black Time Machine is turned around
showing the exact same time as the spectator's!

The Gambler’s Watch

Have one spectator cut the RED DECK and place the cut-to card face down on the table. With your back turned, a second spectator thinks of an hour from 1 to 12 (say she chooses 9 o’clock) and removes that many card (9) from he BLUE DECK, which are placed in the card case. You then deal 12 cards in a clock face from the remaining stock. With your back turned again, she peeks at the card in the position/time thought of.
Now you….
1. Correctly name the cut-to card……….. The Nine of Spades

Have them demonstrate how the hands move when the stem is turned, inviting them to turn the stem as many (or as few) times as they wish. You borrow a second spectator's wristwatch and tell the audiences that you just briefly stepped back into time about 30 seconds and checked the time the first spectator set on the pocket watch.
